Admission Policy

The educational aim of the Department of Urban Management is to equip students with the skills to enable them to actively contribute to the construction of urban management systems and to serve as community leaders.

More specifically, we aim to foster students who have a clear idea of the direction in which they want to progress, and who possess the specialized knowledge to deal with a variety of real-world challenges, as well as flexibility, creativity, and courage. Supported by this knowledge and these qualities, such students will have the ability to adopt leadership roles in the community.

In order to realize this ideal, we believe it is more important than ever to promote cross-disciplinary research. To do so, we are considering the adoption of measures to promote a greater diversity of students, including mature-age students, overseas students, and students from other departments, graduate schools, faculties, and universities.
